Career Transitions

Managing the change from one position or career to the next can be stressful. What are your key strengths and opportunities? How can you mitigate weaknesses and threats?

What are the psychological and financial barriers? How can you overcome them? Assessing these and your key styles for communicating and dealing with change can help manage these transitions more effectively.

We use DISC assessment tools, our workbook Strategies for Success (2003), and interviews to help you navigate the future.

Create and strategize the type of future you want, and design a plan with goals and habits to get you there. Coaching will help hold you accountable for your success.

Entrepreneurs, Executives and CEOs Optimizing Reinvention Endeavors (ENCORE)

Enabling entrepreneurs to leave a legacy. What is your ENCORE after you have built and sold the business or are a retired executive ?

  • What will be your legacy?
  • What is your next endeavor?
  • New ventures? Board work?
  • How do you want to commit your time?
  • What are the possibilities?
  • How can you leverage your drive, innovation and creativity?
  • What is your Personal Strategic Plan?

ENCORE is part of success in an exit or succession plan.

Starting a Business

This is an opportunity to craft your business with a sense of purpose, mission, values, and vision. What is the strategic plan? How will you achieve it? What are the psychological and financial barriers? How can you overcome them? Assessing these and your key styles for communicating and dealing with change can help manage these transitions more effectively.

We use DISC assessment tools, our workbook Strategies for Success (2003), and interviews to help you navigate the future.

Exiting a Business

70% of exit plans fail and often many of those failures are attributed to second thoughts of the founder as the last steps of the exit plan are finalized. While many founders envision exiting their business with an nest egg to enjoy either a new lifestyle or a new opportunity few anticipate the mixed emotion that are concomitant with such an enormous transition. Without the challenges, demands and structure of day to day operations many former CEOs can get detoured on the road to, or the road after the exit.

We have found that these challenges and opportunities are best seized by creating a personal strategic plan based on SWOT; future mission and sense of purpose; setting goals.

We use DISC assessment tools, our workbook Strategies for Success (2018), and interviews to help you navigate the future.

Adding a Partner

Many of the CEOs that we advise find at some point along the spectrum of founding, managing their or growing their business they consider adding a partner, but don't know how to access a good partnership, except for a gut feeling. We like to help our CEOs by providing and assessment and coaching package that includes a DISC assessment to match the communication and personality styles of the partners; interviews to address issues like values ; work ethic; conflict management and then help the CEO decide if this is a fit. We bring in our legal experts when the time for making an agreement is reached once the difficult work of assessing can we work together? is addressed.

Succession Planning: Becoming a Leader

The transition from emerging leader to leading a company should be a 2-5 year process. Often it is not. We have been called into company where leadership transition happened quickly or the steps of change management and developing leadership competency and confidence was not fully actualized before the transition happened.. Often the emerging as well as the exiting leader (See Exit Coaching above) are in order at least for the first 180 days. Issues addressed during this period will include Identifying Strengths and challenges as a leader; developing your leadership voice; building a management team; managing yourself; Emotional Intelligence competencies and creating an engaged workforce.. We use DISC assessment tools, 360 Leadership Competencies, our workbook Strategies for Success (2003), and interviews to help you navigate the future.
